SpaceX launched four astronauts to the International Space Station on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, on the first full-fledged taxi flight for NASA by a private company. True. Scottish writer Douglas Stuart won the Booker Prize for fiction Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, for Shuggie Bain, a novel about a boy’s turbulent coming of age in 1980s Glasgow. Stuart, 44, won the prestigious award for his first published novel. Before becoming a published writer,  Stuart had a career in fashion design, including works for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and the Banana Republic.

Former President Barack Obama’s book, A Promised Land, sold nearly 890,000 copies in the U.S. and Canada in its first 24 hours – putting it on track to be the best-selling presidential memoir in modern history. The only book by a former White House resident to come close to the early pace of A Promised Land is the memoir by Obama’s wife, Michelle Obama, whose book Becoming, sold 725,000 copies in North America its first day and has topped 10 million worldwide since its release in 2018.
