What’s Superman’s new motto?

On Oct. 16, 2021, DC Comics announced Superman’s new motto, “Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow,” removing the “American way” part from the Man of Steel’s mantra. The changes aim to offer a broader, more global vision for the world of the famed superhero.

Jon Kent is the new Superman, the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The character was introduced in 2015 as Superboy before being encouraged by his father to become the new Superman.

Is Superman coming out?

DC Comics announced Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, that Jon Kent and his friend Jay would share a kiss in a story published next month. That same-sex relationship continues several behaviors that make Jon Kent a different Superman. Since the new series, Superman: Son of Kal-El, began in July 2021, Jon has combated wildfires caused by climate change and protested the deportation of refugees.

Krypto the Superdog is Superman's pet dog. The canine character has appeared in numerous cartoon television shows and films, including his own 2005 Cartoon Network series and as a live-action character on The CW's Smallville. Black Adam is a DC Comics supervillain and the archenemy of Captain Marvel. Black Adam was initially depicted as a corrupted, ancient Egyptian predecessor of Captain Marvel. Still, since the turn of the 21st century, DC Comics writers Jerry Ordway, Geoff Johns, and David S. Goyer re-defined the character as a corrupted antihero attempting to clear his name and reputation.

2022's "Black Adam," set to release in November starring Dwayne Johnson, is a spin-off on 2019's "Shazam!." The sequel "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" is set for Dec. 21, 2022.

How Did He Celebrate?

On his 50th birthday, Johnson shared a funny video of him surprising fans as they posed with the actor's wax figure at Madame Tussauds USA in Las Vegas. Johnson is set to star in DC's Black Adam, which will see him take on the role of the film's titular anti-hero. Black Adam will hit theatres on Oct. 21, a few months after the animated feature DC League of Super-Pets, where Johnson will make his DC debut.

The word "Amazon," meaning "warrior," is likely rooted in the Persian (Iranian) language.

While the story of a race of warrior women first appeared in Greek mythology, excavations across the north and east of the Black Sea region have revealed that warrior women like the Amazons existed in real life. Experts have identified depictions of the women in battle with Greek men on vases and other ceramics dressed in Persian-style clothing. 

Ben Affleck was the previous actor in the bat cape before Rebert Pattinson. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Jan. 14, 2021, he said he started drinking around the time of Justice League, which was why he had initially quit the DC universe, dropping out of his solo Batman film.

Catwoman previously appeared on the big screen in Tim Burton's Batman Returns, portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer. In 2004's Catwoman, she was depicted by Halle Berry. Anne Hathaway stepped into the character's suit in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. According to IMDb, 2022's The Batman's Zoë Kravitz and Robert Pattinson received the same advice from Pfeiffer and former batman Christian Bale, respectively: make sure you can go to the bathroom while in costume.
