Why does it matter?

In a study published in Science on April 1, 2021, scientists at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama concluded that rain forests were very different before the impact. After the asteroid hit the Earth, nearly half of the plant species in the area perished, and the rainforest began to be taken over by ferns and flowering plants. The past rainforests were likely much sparser, producing less humidity in earlier forests, which probably made the region much less productive than it is today.

Health Canada asked distributors to recall masks sold with graphene or bio-graphene in them over potential inhalation risks. The products affected are listed as "face masks labeled as containing graphene or biomass graphene."
