R.I.P. Alex Trebek, who hosted the American quiz show Jeopardy! for over 30 years. Trebek announced in 2019 that he had advanced pancreatic cancer. He passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020.  On Jeopardy!, contestants famously have to begin their answers with the phrase: ‘Who is’ or ‘What is.’

During the Coronavirus eruption, the New York Philharmonic didn’t play at its home residence of Manhattan’s Lincoln Center for months. Instead, it took to the streets in a series of pop-up concerts.

Father of the Bride Part 3 (ish) was shared on Netflix, YouTube, and Facebook to benefit World Central Kitchen during the 2020 Covid lockdown. The nearly 27-minute-long sequel, which takes place 25 years after Father of the Bride Part II, is a new story self-recorded by the actors and written and directed by Nancy Meyers.

Judith Sheindlin was a New York family court judge before she became TV’s Judge Judy in 1996. Starting 2021, the 78-year-old tough-talking TV judge is moving her show to Amazon’s IMDbTV ad-supported free streaming platform, available in the US only. US broadcaster CBS will still be showing reruns of the show in the upcoming two years.

Netflix removed Dave Chappelle’s comedy sketch series Chappelle’s Show after the comedian requested them to do so. Chappelle claims he “never got paid” after leaving the ViacomCBS-owned show.
