Exactly. In the 1988 movie,  Willow is a reluctant farmer who protects a baby from a tyrannical queen. A new Willow series started streaming on Disney+ on Nov. 30, 2022, starring the original Willow, Warwick Davis.

David Fincher, the director behind such films as Gone Girl, The Social Network, Fight Club, and Zodiac, signed an exclusive four-year deal with Netflix. The filmmaker confirmed the news in an interview with French magazine Premiere.

Exactly. Mads Mikkelsen is set to replace Johnny Depp in the third installment of the JK Rowling-scripted fantasy series, Fantastic Beasts. Mikkelsen was born in Denmark. His first English speaking role was in the James Bond film, Casino Royale (2006).

Jennifer Lopez won her Razzie Redeemer award for her 2020 movie Hustlers, which she also produced. It also won her a few critics awards this year. The Hollywood actress/singer/dancer and all-around-star was in tears after the 2020 US election was called for Biden and Harris.

Anne Hathaway is starring in HBO Max’s adaptation of The Witches as the Grand High Witch, who, in this version, has hands resembling bird feet with only three fingers on each hand. The limb difference community defined using this trait to make Hathaway’s character look non-human as problematic, and both Hathaway and HBO immediately apologized. The Witches is an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s 1983 novel of the same name. In the 1990 film adaptation of the book, Anjelica Huston played the same role, but with five fingers on each hand.

Jeff Bridges may be best known for his role as the Dude in The Big Lebowski, but his oscar-winning role was as a country musician in 2010’s Crazy Heart. The actor announced on Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, that he was diagnosed with lymphoma. Bridges, 70, said he is starting treatment for the condition and that the “prognosis is good.”
