 Showtime ordered a new limited-series revival of the long-running serial-killer drama Dexter. The original followed Dexter Morgan, a conflicted expert for the Miami Police Department who was also a serial killer. Michael C. Hall starred as the title character in the 2006-13 series and is back for the new ten episodes run along with showrunner Clyde Phillips. The new series is set to go into production in early 2021 with a tentative premiere date of fall 2021.
